Shandong RichYear Biotechnology Co., Ltd. is a vertically integrated producer of dried mealworms and dried black soldier fly larvae. Founded in 2013, we operate our own breeding base, processing line and export packing operation in Dingtao, Heze, Shandong, close to Qingdao Port. This page is the web edition of our company profile.

The company integrates research, breeding, processing, technical service and sales. Our 50,000 m² base includes standardised breeding farms and a processing plant, with more than 100 employees across production, quality control, export documentation and customer service.
Our product range covers dried whole insects, insect powder, defatted insect protein powder and insect oil. We also provide OEM/ODM packing, packaging design support and sample development for distributors and brand owners, with around 500 tonnes of regular specifications held in stock.

Our facility uses microwave drying technology and metal detection systems. Each batch is tested for moisture content and pathogens before shipment, and a retained sample stays with the batch record.

AFFIA has awarded Dingtao District the title “The County with the Largest Production Area of Asian Mealworms” and Fangshan Town “The Hometown of Asian Mealworms”. Dingtao hosted the first China International Mealworm Industry Conference.
